I had a lot of fun with my girl yesterday. More often than not, I’m guilty of “working” more than I am “playing.” I thought it would be fun to do something crafty with my daughter. Even though I consider myself to be pretty crafty, sometimes, it’s nice to not have to plan too much to be crafty.
Awhile back, I bought some fun crafts for my daughter at Klutz.com. I had never heard of this site, but there was a great deal through Plum District.com. It was $14 for $30 worth of products at Klutz.com. I think I might have had some credits for Plum District, so it was even cheaper than the $14.00. I love crafts, so I thought it would be fun to get Violet some craft items and get this great deal. I’m so glad I did!
One of the items I bought was the Hand Art kit. I thought it would be perfect for my 3 year old. I was right!
We busted this kit out yesterday and had a great time. The kit contains a book with lots of fun “hand art” creations/ideas, as well, as crayons, glue, googly eyes, and pom poms. Everything is all nice and contained. I helped Violet draw the outlines of whichever animal/creature she picked and had her color in the main part. I also helped her put the glue on the eyes and she placed them on her masterpieces. We had so much fun! It was super simple, but a nice break in our day to do something creative!
I also got this Pop Bead Critter set for her and she played with that as well.
We started out by making some of the critters they showed in the book, but after awhile, Violet decided she wanted to make something different. She ended up making a giant necklace! It was so fun to see her mind work. She had a blast making a necklace that touched the ground when she put it on. I also made her a matching bracelet. The possibilities are endless, and so are the hours of fun :)
I can’t wait until they have another deal for Klutz on Plum District! I’ll be sure to get it so I can get more craft items. I also noticed that Klutz also sells “additional supplies” of certain items. They sell “additional” beads for the Pop Bead Critters. Can you imagine what else we could make with MORE pop beads? :)
